How to play Screw Jam

Screw Jam is a layered colour-sorting puzzle: unscrew bolts from stacked plates and pack each one into the box of its colour without jamming the tray.

Unscrew from the top

Only screws that are not covered by a higher plate can be tapped. Each one spins out and flies into the matching colour box in the tray.

Fill and ship boxes

The tray holds four boxes with a limited number of holes. A full box ships away and the next box from the queue takes its place. If no box can take a screw, the tap is refused and costs a move.

Clear the plates

When a plate loses its last screw it falls away and exposes the layer below. Clear every screw to finish the level.

Special screws

Twin screws fill two holes, slotted screws need two taps, and numbered screws must come out in order. Finish with spare moves to earn three stars.
