Colored sand pours from glass hoppers at the top of a desert machine. Open the valves, steer every stream through chutes and moving parts, and fill each glass silo with its own color.
Tap a hopper's valve to start or stop its pour. Hoppers hold layers of different colors, and the valve closes by itself when a layer runs out so you can re-aim before the next color. Some hoppers pour on a timer or only open for a few seconds per tap.
Tap flaps to tip them left or right, open gates, switch fans on to blow the stream sideways, and keep an eye on rotors that flip on their own. Splitters divide a stream in two and bumpers scatter it.
When two different colors touch they turn into gray-brown mud. Pour one color at a time through shared chutes. Too many wrong grains spoil a silo: use the vacuum once per level to clean it, or freeze the pour for 3 seconds to buy time.
A silo seals with a lid as soon as its fill line is reached, and some sealed silos only open after another one is full. Stars depend on how few grains you waste.

Yes. The game is designed for portrait touch screens with large tap targets, and it also plays well on desktop with a mouse or the number keys.
Grains of different colors that touch become mud. A few wrong grains in a silo are tolerated, but too many spoil it. The vacuum cleans the wrong grains once per level; otherwise restart and pour one color at a time.
You earn up to three stars depending on how few grains you waste. Unlocked levels, best stars and best waste are stored locally in your browser.
