You are the last light in a forest devoured by darkness. Survive 10 minutes: your lantern attacks on its own, but if your flame goes out, the night wins. Slay the Umbral King at minute 10 to bring the dawn.
Move with WASD or the arrow keys. You can also hold the left mouse button and your pilgrim walks toward the cursor — perfect for trackpads. On mobile, a virtual joystick appears under your left thumb. Your lantern attacks automatically: you only dodge. Press Esc or P to pause.
Fallen enemies drop light gems. Collect them to level up and choose one of three upgrade cards: 3 evolvable weapons (bolt, nova, orbiting shards) and 6 passive powers. A max-level weapon paired with its matching passive can EVOLVE into a far stronger form.
Enemy waves grow fiercer every 45 seconds and a surge announcement warns you of the dark stirring. A Shade Colossus marches at minute 5 — keep your distance when it glows red before its slam. At minute 10 the Umbral King rises: dodge his nova rings and dashes, and slay him to win. Shards earned in each run buy permanent upgrades in the Sanctuary.

No. Your lantern attacks on its own, survivors-style. Your job is to move, dodge and collect the light gems enemies drop.
About 10 minutes. A Shade Colossus appears at minute 5 and the Umbral King rises at minute 10. Kill him to win; if your HP reaches zero, the dark wins.

Last Lumen is a free survivors-like roguelite where your lantern light is both your shield and your weapon against a forest devoured by darkness. You play the last pilgrim carrying the last flame: waves of dark creatures pour from the treeline, and everything outside your circle of light wants to extinguish you. You only steer your character; your lantern strikes automatically at the nearest foe, and the light gems left by fallen enemies feed your growth. Every level-up offers three upgrade cards from a pool of three evolvable weapons and six passive powers: the Bolt of Dawn becomes a piercing Sunlance, the Nova Pulse becomes an Event Horizon that hurls foes away, and the orbiting shards become a blazing Corona Halo. The run has a clear arc: surges every 45 seconds, a Shade Colossus miniboss at minute 5 and the Umbral King at minute 10. Between runs, shards buy permanent upgrades in the Sanctuary, so every defeat makes the next attempt stronger. All graphics are drawn procedurally on canvas — a sky that deepens from dusk to night, stars, moonlit hills, ruins and lantern posts in the dark — and everything runs smoothly in any modern browser, free, with nothing to download.
