Expand across a map of provinces: attack neighboring territories, move troops between your own and conquer the map against rival factions.
Click or drag from one of your provinces to a neighbor to attack it, or to reinforce it if it is yours. On touch, tap your province and then a neighbor: dragging works too.
The slider picks the percentage of troops you send into each assault. The speed button toggles the x2 battle pace.

Frontier.io is a real-time territorial conquest game played on a procedurally generated map of about one hundred provinces. You start from a single capital and every province you own feeds troops back into your war machine, so every capture makes the next one easier. Attacks are resolved the moment you send them, with a pinch of battlefield chaos deciding close fights, and a troop slider lets you decide how much of each province's garrison to commit — probe with 20%, push with 70%, or dump everything into one desperate push. Six rival factions share the map with you, each with its own temperament: some swallow neutral land as fast as they can, some turtle up behind walls of troops, and some hunt the weakest border on the map. Provinces you raze slowly recover their militias, so neglected corners of the map never stay free for long, and when one faction snowballs the others instinctively gang up on the leader. Win by controlling 70% of the map, or by being the last faction standing when the dust settles. Three difficulty levels, instant restarts, sessions of five to ten minutes, full touch support for tap-to-select tap-to-attack play, and local progression that tracks your victories and fastest win. No download, no registration — open the page and take the first province.
