About Queens — Spatial Puzzle
Queens reinvents the classic n-queens problem by adding colored regions, and the result is the most satisfying spatial puzzle of its family. The rules stack three constraints — one queen per row, one per column, one per region — and then remove the safe diagonal assumption of Star Battle by making queens attack along diagonals too. Reading the board therefore becomes a dance between geometry and color: you scan for the region with the fewest free cells, eliminate lines radiating from every placed queen, and watch the candidates collapse. Four daily board sizes keep the game approachable while preserving a real challenge for experts, and the X-marker system lets you annotate eliminations just like on paper. Conflict highlighting teaches the rules passively as you play, and a hint system reveals one certain placement without spoiling the rest. Every day the whole world gets the same boards, which turns your solve time into a friendly personal race.
