Spielanleitung Underhell — The Infernal Maze

Underhell — The Infernal Maze is a neon-drenched retro flip-screen platformer inspired by the golden age of 8-bit maze crawlers. You are the Hooded Delver, trapped deep beneath the underworld in a labyrinth of 24 fixed-screen chambers. There is no scrolling, no mercy and no way out — until you find the six soul keys hidden across the inferno. Every chamber is a hand-crafted puzzle of platforms, spikes of darkness and demon-infested corridors. Your weapon only fires straight up or straight down, Underwulde-style, so positioning is everything: stand under a wisp and shoot skyward, or hover above a generator and blast it to pieces before its endless wisps overwhelm you. Four demon types stalk the maze — shuffling imps that patrol the floors, undulating wisps that drift on sine-wave paths, armored hoppers that ricochet between walls, and all-seeing sentinels that slide up and down watching your every move. Skull generators spawn endless waves of wisps until you destroy them for a fat 200-point bonus. Colored rune gates seal the passages deeper into the labyrinth: gate A opens with 1 key, B with 2, up to the violet F gate that demands 5. Golden keys, crimson hearts and sapphire jewels are scattered through the gauntlet — some in plain sight, some behind dangerous detours. The run is persistent: your score, lives, keys, opened gates and cleared rooms survive between sessions, so you can push deeper one sitting at a time. With precise coyote-time jump physics, 60fps action, full keyboard and touch controls, English and Spanish interfaces, and a brooding procedural hell-drone soundtrack, Underhell is a love letter to 1984 bedroom-coding — rebuilt for the browser generation.
