Hex Imperium Multiplayer Goes Live This Week
The real-time multiplayer mode for Hex Imperium launches this week. After an extended closed beta, the ranked competitive system opens to everyone.
What Is Hex Imperium Multiplayer
Hex Imperium started as a single-player browser strategy game: the spiritual successor to Hex Empire by Vitaly Rud. The multiplayer mode builds on that foundation with real human opponents, faction drafts, and a global leaderboard.
Up to 4 players per match. Choose your faction, manage territory, outmaneuver your opponents. The same hex grid that made the original great, now with real stakes.
What Launches This Week
- Ranked mode: open to all players, browser and desktop
- Faction draft system: each player picks faction before the match
- Global leaderboard: real-time standings updated after every game
- Season 1: 60-day competitive window, seasonal rewards for top players
